Passionate. Hard working. Detail oriented. Friends.
When you work with Popcorn & Ice Cream, you gain true partners in your success. We never want to be considered as your marketing vendor. Vendors simply execute. That’s not our style. We work alongside you to engage your customers and grow your business. Our clients become friends and view us as extended members of their teams. We hire only those who share our passion, bring spirit and energy to the team, and who we’re proud to have represent Popcorn & Ice Cream.
Hillary is passionate about small business and customer-centric marketing. She leads the Popcorn & Ice Cream team, is the author of Customer, LLC: The Small Business Guide to Customer Engagement & Marketing, and a Google Small Business Advisor. No, she doesn’t get much sleep.
Hillary brings experience working in and for businesses of varying size to her small business clients. Cutting her teeth on Madison Avenue, Hillary got her first taste of small business at a dot.com reminiscent of Facebook, but sadly before its time. Upon moving back to Washington, DC, Hillary worked for a start-up technology company before turning back to the agency world. Prior to launching Popcorn & Ice Cream, Hillary worked with her husband to build and grow a financial services business.
A graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, Hillary can also be found building lemonade stands with her three budding entrepreneurs at home.
Amy is proud to be on the Popcorn & Ice Cream team, helping small businesses grow and thrive. Amy handles a wide range of marketing projects, including social media, websites, content marketing, print materials (yes, they still matter!), and trade shows – experience she also leverages in her role on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Chapter. Amy brings experience supporting content development and social media management for a Top 100 MLB.com official blog and running a nonprofit organization board to Popcorn & Ice Cream’s small business clients.
Amy started her career in investment banking, with stints on both the equity and fixed income trading floors. Amy is a graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. A proud New Jersey native, Amy lives in Bethesda, MD with her husband, 3 kids, and lots of baseball memorabilia.
Piumi got her start in architecture school before moving back home to Maryland where she now studies graphic design at American University. At Popcorn & Ice Cream, she can be found creating anything from postcards and brochures to Instagram images and Facebook cover art. She uses her design know-how to help clients communicate better with their customers. Piumi is excited to learn more about the world of small business and entrepreneurship as she grows in her career with Popcorn & Ice Cream. When she’s not juggling Illustrator, InDesign, Canva (yes, we use it, too!) and her classes, she can be found at the National Gallery of Art, perusing through their latest exhibits.
Hillary embraced our business as though it were her own — working tirelessly, and often times very late into the night, to launch and grow Glen’s Garden Market. She truly lives the brand, which makes all the difference when it comes to designing and implementing a pitch perfect marketing strategy.
